I just got the Asus EeePC 1005HA netbook yesterday, and I do love it! I wanted something small and light weight, and this fits the bill. It almost fits in my purse, and it weighs just over two pounds. Also, I did not want to deal with Vista….this netbook comes with Win XP, which is perfect for me.
The 1005HA is completely easy to set up, and it readily detects wireless connections. The 10-inch screen is bright and has good color, and the keyboard is only slightly smaller than a regular one. I don’t do well with touch pads, so I got a wireless mouse which works perfectly. Of course, there is no disc drive on the 1005HA, but external ones are cheap and easy to hook up to one of the three USB ports in the 1005HA. There is an SD card slot for photography buffs, too, which works beautifully. Also, “Skype” comes pre-loaded, and since I have relatives in Europe, I plan to use it. There is a built in camera for “Skype” use, so all you need to get, perhaps, is a little microphone. MS Works is pre-loaded, too, so if you don’t need anything fancy in terms of word processing, etc, you’re all set for most computing needs.
This little machine is so easy, even I had no problem getting it going. And…well…the Asus 1005HA is just too cute for words!
